Web Design – week 3

Classroom

  1. Discuss and demonstrate what we’ll be doing on WordPress.com and on the Siteground websites with the 2016 theme
    1. On WordPress.com – use whatever theme and plugins you want. Use this website to experiment and learn what you can do with WordPress. This is where you can make a great-looking website
    2. On Siteground – use only 2016 theme. This site is being used as a learning tool, and it will probably never look as good as your website on WordPress.com, because it’s a very bare-bones theme, but you can do more stuff on this website because it has fewer restrictions than WordPress.com
    3. You can use the same content (text, images) on both websites, or different content (this will result in two different sites). It is up to you, but you’ll get more out of using different content for each site
  2. Dina Snow looking for web design help. Contact her at AztecaDesign.com
  3. Share class presentation schedule
  4. Check out this cool web font
  5. Look at website mockups

Advanced

  1. Demonstrate how PHP works
